Chris Loh joined Axiom Asia in August 2009. Prior to that, he had nine years of private equity experience with GIC Special Investments, working for two years in the Singapore office and seven years in the San Francisco bay area office. Chris had experience leading due diligence and investments in venture capital, growth capital, buyout and secondary funds in the U.S. and Asia. He was also involved in four direct investments in high-tech startups - two went public and two were acquired.
Prior to GIC, Chris worked for seven years as an engineer at DSO National Laboratories, the largest R&D organization in Singapore serving the country's defense force. He led a team of engineers in the development of secured, wireless communication systems. His research was published in international conferences like Milcom in the U.S..
Chris was awarded the Monbusho Scholarship jointly by the Singapore Government and the Japanese Ministry of Education. He earned a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering degree from the University of Tokyo and completed two master programs (an MBA and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) at the National University of Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
Chris is fluent in English, Mandarin and Japanese.
